While it may seem impossible to forget the moment your baby enters the world, the reality is that labor and birth can feel like time bending—fast and slow all at once. The intensity of the experience means that small but significant details often fade from memory, like the way your partner held your hand through a contraction, the quiet strength in your face as you labored, or the very first moment your baby was placed in your arms.

My approach to birth photography is documentary-style, meaning I capture real, unscripted moments as they unfold—preserving the emotions, connections, and strength in their purest form. Your birth story deserves to be remembered in full, and these images will help you fill in the gaps, bringing those moments back to life for years to come.

As your doula, I’m not here to replace your birth team or partner—I’m here to enhance the support you already have and provide the guidance, reassurance, and hands-on care that comes from a trained birth professional. Whether it’s offering comfort measures, reminding you of your options, or simply being a steady presence when things feel overwhelming, my role is to help you feel grounded and confident in the decisions you make.

Having a doula means:

You have another voice in the room—someone who knows birth, understands your goals, and supports you in making informed choices.
You’ll have physical and emotional support, from counterpressure techniques to mindset coaching through the hardest contractions.
You’re less likely to feel lost in medical language or rushed into decisions without clarity.

A doula provides emotional, physical, and informational support before, during, and after birth. I help you feel more comfortable, confident, and empowered - whether that’s through comfort measures, advocacy, or just being a steady presence. I support both the birthing person and their partner, making sure you both feel prepared and cared for.
Please note - a doula is not a replacement for medical care, your birth partner, or family. My goal is always to work alongside the rest of your birth team as seamlessly as possible.
Doulas support all births, including planned or unplanned C-sections! If you have a scheduled C-section, we’ll still have a prenatal session to prepare, and I can support you before surgery and in recovery, if permitted by the hospital. If birth photography is included, I’ll document as much as possible, following your provider’s policies.
I typically arrive when you’re in active labor and stay through 1-2 hours postpartum to support and document bonding, feeding, and recovery.
We’ll go over this in our prenatal session, but generally, you’ll call when:
- You think labor is starting, so I can be prepared to leave once active labor begins
- Contractions are getting longer, stronger, and closer together
- Your provider suggests heading to your birth location
- If doula support is needed, whenever you feel like you need support, even if it’s early labor
Not at all! I take a documentary-style approach, capturing the raw, beautiful moments without being intrusive. You set the boundaries on what you do or don’t want captured, and I always prioritize your comfort and privacy.
That’s 100% okay! Before your birth, we’ll discuss your preferences, boundaries, and comfort level. You decide what you want captured and what you’d rather keep private.
Absolutely! Your partner is welcome to take their own photos, but hiring a professional allows them to be fully present instead of worrying about snapping pictures.
Your birth photos will be professionally edited, but never overly retouched or altered—the goal is to honor the raw, powerful reality of your experience. Once ready, they’ll be shared in a private, password-protected digital gallery, where you’ll have the option to order physical prints and albums. Your photos will never be shared publicly unless you’ve given explicit, written consent.
Payment plans are available to help make your investment more manageable. After receiving your retainer of $400, we may set up a payment plan for the remaining amount to be paid in full 2 weeks prior to your due date.
Payment plans are customizable, including options for bi-weekly, monthly, or 3-payment plans.
I currently serve the Manitowoc County area, including travel up to 45-60 minutes outside Manitowoc city limits.
